UPDATE:IMPORTANT: Trip location has changed for the weekend!

UPDATE: We will be going to Mines and Meadows. We are leaving Friday at 8am and coming home Sunday morning. Registration will be $40 and camping will be $10 a person. Gas money will be appreciated and bring whatever food and such you will need.

Rock run is closed this upcoming weekend for an enduro race. Therefore we will be going to mines and meadows instead.

SIX HOURS OF POWER COMPLETED........kind of...

The Six Hours of Power was a great success. Gofer, Jimmer, Ranger Danger, and Blazing Burro all participated in this EPIC event. The day had some very interesting incidents that were completely unexpected. The Blazing Burro and Ranger Danger both got sick and nearly passed out after only three laps and were slightly handicapped for the rest of the day. The camelbaks that they both had recently purchased caused this massive upset and changed the game for all competitors. They did however set the lap record of the day at 18mins on the easy loop with an average speed of 36mph.

Gofer and Jimmer battled for the first place podium position but in the end the Jimmer prevailed by one point. The Jimmer received the Six Hours of Power trophy and Gofer finished second receiving a large can of high quality chain lube. The Blazing Burro and Ranger Danger finished the day with two camelbaks full of hose water.

Powerband paparazzi was absent that day and Ghetto Blasters bike is still out of action.

SIX HOURS OF POWER!

Saturday June 19th, 2010 is the first annual !!Six Hours of Power!! sponsored by the International Brotherhood of Feral Cats at The ANF Rocky Gap Trailhead. No charge for registration but donations are appreciated. The enduro will start at 12:00pm, registration must be submitted before 11:45am. The feral queens will be cooking food and maintaining camp.

Rules and Regulations:

1. Most important rule of this enduro is to have fun and stay safe! This is a day of fun with some prizes, we are not taking it to seriously.

2.The race will start at 12:00pm and end at 6:00pm.

3. Racers will compete on the basis of number of points achieved. One point will be given for every completion of an easy loop lap. Two points will be given for the completion of a hard loop lap. The racer with the highest total points will win 1st place. Prizes will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place.

4. A lap is only completed if you check in with the score keepers in the parking lot. A complete lap is from camp, exiting from the correct exit of the parking lot, around the entire trail and back to camp.

5. All riders "must follow" all posted ANF rules and regulations.

6. THIS EVENT WILL ONLY BE RESCHEDULED IN THE CASE OF THE ANF TRAILS BEING CLOSED! WEATHER WILL BE CONSIDERED AN OBSTACLE. WE WILL RESCHEDULE IF NECESSARY.

7. Riders must pass one another with courtesy, utility four wheelers do not apply to this rule...just kidding.

Things to consider:

Gas will not be provided so make sure you have enough for the whole day or you might be SOL.

A bottle of oil wouldn't be a bad idea to have and a spare air filter.

Check your sprocket bolts, spokes, and chain tension before you get to rocky gap.

SOME tools will be available for all riders if needed.
